From January to April this year, China's railways carried 1.46 billion passengers, a YoY increase of 5.9%, setting a historical record for the same period. During these four months, railway authorities effectively coordinated resources including lines, stations and equipment, leveraging the network operation advantages of high-speed rail to significantly enhance passenger transport capacity. The national railway operated an average of 11,224 passenger trains daily, up 7.1% year on year. At the same time, the railway sector closely aligned with market demands such as tourism sightseeing, ecological health and red tourism study tours, carefully designing travel routes and promoting "trains running directly to scenic spots." A total of 367 tourist trains were operated, an increase of 23% year on year, effectively supporting the development of the tourism economy and the silver economy.
Meanwhile, the railway authorities optimized the functions of the 12306 ticketing system, maintaining stable operation.
