The "Open Code" of an Old Revolutionary Base Area's Land Port
Recently, a train loaded with daily goods and large machinery parts slowly departed from Ganzhou International Land Port in Nankang District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Traveling over 4,000 kilometers and passing through the Manzhouli border, the train will reach Moscow, Russia.
Ganzhou International Land Port is the only open border port in China's old revolutionary base areas. In recent years, close cooperation with ports like Shenzhen Yantian and Guangzhou has enabled Nankang furniture to "source globally and sell globally," promoted exports of electromechanical products and cold-chain fruits, and attracted investment from coastal industries relocating to southern Jiangxi's old revolutionary base areas.
In 2024, Ganzhou International Land Port operated 4,307 freight trains, a YoY increase of 5.4%. Among these, CRE trains grew 54.6% year on year, with over 1,600 trains in total. The proportion of local wooden furniture exported via rail-sea intermodal transport and domestic trade continues to rise.
